seat belt anchor points

Post by the beast »

I have a 95 astro extended cargo van that has been converted and is only provided with lap belts. my question is

would the van have 3 point anchor securing points as standard for rear and middle seats or not. Would like to put decent seat belts in but

don't want to pull all the conversion fittings off if theres no points there to find.

If it began life as a passenger van, there would have been shoulder belts. If cargo ... perhaps not.

I thought that most, if not all, Conversions started off as cargos.

so vans would have come down the assembly line with only seat belt anchor points fitted where necessary for there intended destination type, not
as a standard fitment for whatever the van ended up as.

looks like the fittings will have to come out to have a look
