black astro van

Post by daddytoeface »

I called the dealer about buying this van in picture (RWD all the options) and found out it had already been sold. The black paint job on the astro/safari seems to be rare as anytime I spot them on the road which is all the time I never see them in black with the exception of a early 90's model I spotted once.

Yea, black was not an overly popular colour, there were a few members over the yrs with a couple but the most popular colours ( that I recall ) were green...blue...red...white...and rust...lol

the factory black was so rare, that until now, I didn't even think it was offered. was it? I've never seen one. Is that the factory paint? My van is black, but Tremclad doesn't count as factory paint

From the several high res pictures I looked at, it had the appearance of a factory paint job. I would think having a van repainted would be to expensive. I do not think I will hold out looking for a black astro. The two tone blue and the two tone grey look nice.

Black van for sale you say?

Yeah, they are rare - not too often you see a factory black one.

This one below is a Safari & is not a factory black one...
