i put new tires on it the other day and the ride just got way better.
However the front end is alot lower to the ground than the rear ( which i don't care for).
i'm thinking i would like a 1-2" lift in the front but there are issues with my stock running boards.
the boards wrap up and into both front and rear whell wells ( although in the pics it looks like seperate pieces on the transition up into the wheel well its all one big u shaped piece).
and the brackets( 4 per side) which hold them on are screwed to both body and frame, so i can't just lift the body and keep the boards on there ( i dont think so anyways, maybe i can bend them as i lift ? )i just think it will look stupid lifted with boards, if i remove the boards all together ( which is what i would like to do) there will be moulding/trim missing from the fender wells. I wish i could just drop the stupid boards and be done with them.
I have no scrap yard where i live or else i would go searching for the trim i need and paint em up, get some 3m double sided and attach.
i really just want to level the van a little, but the front wells are stuffed with 225/70/16 and the rear still has tonnes of room to spare.
What a Pain in the ass these these boards are turning out to be, what was G.M. thinking ?
any suggestions ?
