I just recently bought a 2003 Safari van and one of the things that bothers me a little is the side to side sway of the body. It seems that the springs are fairly soft possibly.
Is this normal with these vans and what can I do to make the ride a little firmer without sacrificing too much ride quality?
ride quality and sway
Re: ride quality and sway
When I bought my 94 it was awful, sway & bounce bad. I put on a good set of shocks and like magic it took care of the problem. I think I paid somewhere around $145 for the set. Good luck

A rear sway bar will make a noticeable improvement.
Hellwig makes a good one.
That along with new shocks will make a world of difference.
You could also add a leaf to the spring pack to firm it up.
and if the front sway bar bushings are worn, put some poly in there.

X2 on the rear anti sway bar. It makes a huge difference.
