Re: Dynomax Headers for 4.3l
Yeah, they are for a V8, they came in today. I'm a little pissed but they are paying for everything since it is their mess up. I asked two different people if it would work for a V6 and they assured me that they would. That was some fast shipping though, ordered them yesterday afternoon and they wer...

Re: Magnaflow Direct Fit Catalytic Convertor
Can't tell you if the Magnaflow direct fit cat will work on your AWD but I have it on my RWD and it does give it quite a bit more power and made my Flowmaster muffler sound more mellow and throaty. It really sounds like a V8, I had the Flowmaster muffler on for about 2 years before I put the cat on ...

Re: JBA 4.3l Headers
You have the same exhaust set up I have, the Magnaflow Cat and 40 series flowmaster muffler. I was also looking for some headers for the stock 4.3 and came across this http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/search/?D=Chevy+Astro+Van+Headers&Ntt=Chevy+Astro+Van+Headers&Dx=mode+matchall&Ntk=Mai...

Re: Dynomax Headers for 4.3l
So I finally called today and they swear that it will work, I figure if they dont fit I'll just return em. They gave me a pretty good discount too, shipping and handling included it was $270. Now to figure out how I'm gonna do this with my exhaust...

Re: Dynomax Headers for 4.3l
That sucks that these won't work, I'm still determined to find something though, sometime this week I'm gonna go in to a header shop by my work and see if they could make anything. The shops called Gebler Headers, apparently they're really good.

Re: Dynomax Headers for 4.3l
I didnt get a chance to call but I tried the online help chat thing on the website and they said that it does fit the 4.3 with out any modifications. I'm gonna wait till I actually talk to someone over the phone before I buy them though

Re: Dynomax Headers for 4.3l
I'm gonna give them a call tomorrow and ask. So if these don't fit are there any headers that will fit on a 95' 2wd with out any crazy modifications?

Dynomax Headers for 4.3l
I found these looking around for more van mods and think they might be my next project. Does anyone have these on their van? The picture shows headers for a V8 but the description says it's for the 4.3 engine, I'm hoping the picture is just a generic one like they usually use for parts pics. http://...

Re: stock or upgrade????
My van's got the Magnaflow cat and Flowmaster 40 series muffler, the new cat definitely gave the van better gas mileage and a slight power increase but that might have also had something to do with me being used to the old, beat up stock exhaust.

Re: Removing drivers exterior door handle
I'm glad I can say that I've replaced the passenger, driver, and sliding door handle along with both power window motors and the sliding door lock actuator *whew* what a PITA those jobs were. Make sure you have some quick dry JB weld and a box of the little christmas tree fasteners on hand. The jb w...

Undercarriage Protection for winter
I forget what this stuff is called but I know they advertise it at body shops alot, some kind of chemical you get sprayed on your undercarriage once a year before the winter to prevent all the road salt from rusting up your truck. I've heard some people saying that it's great and also that you don't...
