I am an administrator of a forum dedicated to the TV show "All In The Family". There is no member activity there anymore but there were 67 "guests" as I write this. Most of these "guests" are from spamers, email stealers, data miners, and who knows what. Sure some are bots like Google but they are much fewer than the others. There is work to try to protect the members data of this "dead" forum. http://aitftalk.proboards.com/index.cgi

As stated herein, there are not enough people to support one forum of this limited interest topic let alone two or more. This forum was created because of a faction split from another AITF forum. The difference here was to allow for almost anything rather than having an administrator on a power trip.

I also know that certain members, regardless of a very liberal tolerance principle, just push the envelope too much. Like in any body, some infections require that the immune system kick in. After this rant of mine, I will make the forum only available to members. The freedom to view and glean some data before joining will be over and my job will be less.

Jim, I do not "know" anything about any other situations elsewhere nor do I care to. I am merely relating another point of view as a farmer's food for thought.

Try to join again with different data like an IP distant from you with a unique user name and email. Then you may be able to do whatever it is that you desire to accomplish.

Just a suggestion....

I would think that any banned member could ASK for re-admittance to the forum after some time. If you really do want to be a part of something you have been excluded from I think a simple explanation of your past offenses and a promise to behave would be enough in most cases.

I have no idea of the history behind anyone getting banned but if the admin isn't a total poo poo head then I don't see any reason why you could not get reinstated.

It does sound like he is a poo poo head though.

There are plenty of people for multiple sites. I'd like to start one where "anything goes" applies to every topic. Every other word out of my mouth is profanity....I have a really hard time excluding it from my posts. $@#@^@$&!&!!! For example my last topic would have read, "MotherF**k'n Pavement Princess gets Big A$$ Glass Slippers, $uck It!"

but I've seen the people who admin this site do some pretty mean things to people who were long time members of the old site and say some pretty hurtful things. Zam comes to mind specifically.

I have a "special purpose" only like in "The Jerk" movie which you seem to equate me to and none other. I still wonder what yours is given that you posted this "lil story" topic in the first place. Consider that my advice was similar to what others said and you didn't get upset at them.

You always say something like "reading is fundamental" and "you don't understand what I said". I never wrote that there was not enough people for two or more AS forums. If you read you should see that I was speaking of an AITF forum with a reference to another's opinion about insufficient numbers to support it.

Maybe you will be willing to explain your love / hate concepts to us going from "versitile vans." to "Junk" of no value.

I am just tired of you lurking while waiting for any opportunity to come down on me. Given that some of your "stuff" has been deleted it only goes to show what this is all about.

I can only interpret your contributions to this topic as an obsession to be the last poster for whatever that does to turn you BC boys on.

What was the value of bumping this exchange to the forefront ? Is it just for your egos ? Is there some other motive ? Wouldn't it have been better to have just let it fade away ?

As far as I am concerned, your recent posts to this topic are just evidence of trying to embarrass the perpetration of a fraudulent act and the resultant anger from being called on it.

So what is your point beyond whatever ? Are you happy now ? I bet your self purposes were severed form being bored without anything else to contribute to this forum.

One should consider the damages to someone by attempting to seem smart to one's self goals at the expense of others.

Where are the real subjects of interest and value ? One has to wish for some or they will also fade away in disgust from a lack thereof.
