Re: ski bike

Nah, no snow around Detroit yet, Midnight Thunder will either be trying it out behind Wadsworth, (really steep hill, but very short landing zone) :toimonster: or over at Mt. "Rocky", right sport?

Re: I think I might need another starter...

I vote for cleaning up the connections at the battery. I replaced a starter a few years ago, when I went to start it, it still wouldn't turn over... Turns out I should have cleaned the negative post off with a wire brush :poke:

Re: temperature reading on the gage.

Did you put thread sealant on the threads for the gage sender? If you did, it is probably affecting the ground path for the gage. Don't use thread sealant on sending units, the fine threads on the sensors are there so you don't have to use the thread sealant.(this also applies to teflon tape sealant)

Lynne, Gary, I love you guys! It is people like you that make the people in my office day's brighter because of my hysterical laughter when I read your barbs. They think I'm nuts... I know I'm nuts! :axe:

Re: The Chevy Volt

C'mon people. Do you really think that 40 miles on a charge is good? Or that the range, even with a small gas engine charging the battery pack is the answer? I hate to say it, but GM is doing the only thing that they can do right now, and that is that they are generating "hype" or spin! Th...

Re: Weeee! Hurricane Party

I will never understand those people that choose to stay in the path of a hurricane. After weathering out Katrina, 150 miles inland in Mississippi, I will never again weather a hurricane! If one is making tracks towards me, I will LEAVE! I have been through all sorts of storms on the open ocean, the...

What always works for me is to go and when the judge asks you if you have any objections to serving on the jury, I smile and tell them "no, but I would like to request that everyone look at me when they are talking so that I can lip-read, because I do have a bit of a hearing loss", you kno...

Re: Another gas thread.... sorta... ethanol questions.

Just another falicy from our friends in Washington... Ethanol is approximately 35% LESS efficient than gasoline. Thus if you burn it, it will always give you lower mileage. I find that the people who advocate it are usually corn growers, and they are subsidized about a dollar a gallon to make/burn i...

I know this sounds cheap, but you asked! I just put electrical tape (black) over the light on the dash. It isn't pretty, but it works! I don't like glare!

Most alloys are sealed with a clearcote finish, that is probably why the wheels looked sdo bad after he took off the clearcote and polished the aluminum. Remember kids, you need to re-coat the wheels after you polish them, just like when they were made the first time!

ABS or Not...

I believe if memory serves me correct, that '91 and on were four wheel ABS. The General didn't like the way the rear wheel only ABS vehicles reacted on the Black Lake at Milford, they thought that people might start to get sue-happy with only rear wheel ABS, so they footed the bill to modify for fou...

Jared, Is the keyless remote a GM one? Look on the back of it and it should say something about GM 10244625 Canada 218 101 487 FCC ID###### If it does, then you probably don't need to worry about the aftermarket alarm module. The keyless fob you have is original equipment, and you probably don't nee...

trim panel removal

Bill, I am not sure, but looking at the picture that you have in your post, I would expect that the panel is held on in several key points, and it is probably held on underneath the trim, such as the wood rail, and around the window "surrounds", that is those trim rings around the picture ...
