Re: Shout out from Michigan

As promised...here are some pics...only problem is we didn't get a chance to wash the van before the pics...so the salty nasty road is all over it. anyway, here they are. threw in my 1989 Toyota 4x4 too with some snow we get around here. Also thrown in for good measure are some of my past rides: two...

Re: Left Dutch Door Gutted

Wow, that's different. I would have gone into the side trim in the back. There is a lot of unused space behind the panels around the wheel wells. First area I'd use is on the drivers side between the little covered cubby and the third row's seat belt. True. Had the plastic off whilst cleaning and d...

Re: anybody installed astro lt side panels on a non lt

I've already removed the lower skirt whose mounting rots and rusts away...and removed the mini bolts that screwed into the body underneath...so the larger cladding on the side is merely double sided tape!? nice! i can get that residue off. done it many times before. this thread is about adding the c...

Re: Left Dutch Door Gutted

I think that's a cool storage idea! Have you considered replacing the plastic panel clips with a quick release fastener? Maybe something like a Dzus fastener? I would like to replace them with some sort of quick release...or cut a door into the foam panel itself. The Dzus fastener might work really...

Cheap Fix for Bad Encoder Motor 99-2005 AWD

This is based on literally days of research on the web as well as my own frustrations replacing my encoder motor on my TC. If you have confirmed that you have a failed or failing encoder motor this might be for you. 1. Only try this if you are meticulous and willing to put in the time to "recon...

I have the opposite taste. I'd be trying to figure out how to get all the crap off the van.

ditto. can i do this on my 2001 LT?

Left Dutch Door Gutted

I pulled the panel off the left dutch...and cut the metal cross-braces out...pulled the speaker out...and it now contains my tire chains, emergency tools/lights/flares, everything. Put the panel back on loosely...works like a charm! Just saved more space in the interior for camping. Once I get some ...

Re: NV136 to BW4472 Swap 2001 AWD

After a 1 hour search on the web using a bazillion different search strings, I finally found a post on a blazer site where someone explained that you need to use a prybar to pry in-between the yoke shield of the driveshaft and the TC. Did this...and "pop" it came out! Encoder motor replace...

Re: NV136 to BW4472 Swap 2001 AWD

Stink. So I am i the throws of replacing the motor...but cannot get the front driveshaft out of the TC so I can pull the last mounting bolt out of the encoder motor. I PM'd a couple of you...and I'm throwing this out in case anyone can help me figure this out before tonight. I'm supposed to leave to...

Re: Stackers Concept

seems like having a hole in your floor and an actual exhaust pipe inside would worsen your problems. i would like mentioned just have it looked at by a legit exhaust shop and fix any leaks they may find. you know...I might just do that. at least in the meantime. if I get some spare time and a huge ...
