Re: Camping noob needs suggestions / guidance
If you go in winter put your clothes for the next day down by your feet. They will keep your feet warmer and you wont be putting on cold clothes. Roll up your sleeping bag in the morning, this will keep all the bugs out. Strip down and put clean clothes on every night in the winter. Ya in Florida it...

Re: Please help, ABS Light On after driving
I guess the ABs light will stay on after I pull all the electronics? Because I could just pull the ABS fuse and accomplish the same thing, right?
How expensive is it to replace the controller?

Please help, ABS Light On after driving
My ABS light comes on it seems when the van either shifts into second or I put my foot on the brake after driving. When I turn the van off, and when I turn the van back on the light is off. Then it comes on again. Today I bled the brakes and I unplugged the battery. The light came back like it norma...

Re: Silver Star Headlights
I have silverstars in my astro. I know they are a lot better than my old lights (cheap ones that were over 5 years old). How the old ones still lit up at all, im not sure. I wanted the blue color anyway, sooooo. Also when I bought mine, the price of the silverstars were 20/ea, or 13/ea for good ones...

EDASTRO4LIFE added Here's a tip: Since the door lock key is so small keep an extra one in your wallet you never know when you might need it.
Wow what a great tip. I actually had a copy of my key on one of the cheap knockoff GM keys and it fits in my wallet. It saved me this morning!!!!!!!

Re: Seafoam???
Where do you guys pour the seafoam into?
Do you pull the air filter box, and the air intake stuff and pour seafoam in there? Do you use a spray bottle and spray it in or do you just pour some from the bottle?
Sorry that is probably a pretty noob question.

Re: soundproofing and insulation
I sprayed greatstuff expanding foam in the rear doors, and sliding door. I sprayed non-expanding on the roof supports. I put rammatt Bxt on the floor and walls and the front doors.
This all helped quite my van down and it stays warm in the van longer!

Re: Switching to synthetic
I know for trucks the GM dealer puts in a synthetic blend. I know with my dad's Van we switched to synthetic on the first change. The manual says the oil must have the API seal. I have read a lot on putting synthetic in and most stuff says that newer engines should have no problem with new synthetic...

I hate to jack your thread, but this is kind of similar.
But, What are the stock measurements for the 15" astro van wheels?
I was looking into some new wheels, but I was thinking I'd like to just get 15" that bolt on.
